Built between 1874 and 1876, the Kjøttbasaren (the meat market) is located in the port area of Bergen. Initially called Byens Bazar (the city market), this building now houses the restaurant BIEN BASAR. Gard Haugland, co-owner and chef of this restaurant, wanted a real tapas restaurant but keeping traditional Norwegian recipes. With a wall cooker composed of 4 inductions, 1 large fry top, 2 deep fryers and an area for a convection oven, the kitchen was completed with a refrigerated island and all the counter furniture. To be emphasized, the single-piece U-shaped worktop, 6 meters long by 4 meters wide.
